Blocked toilet Heritage Park – The Plumbing Gang

Location: Heritage Park, Logan
Service: Blocked toilet and sewer line
Date: September 2026
Turnaround: Booked as urgent and completed the same day

The problem

The main bathroom toilet in a Heritage Park home had a blockage, and sewage was overflowing outside at the gully. We booked the job as urgent.

What we did

  • Arrived mid-afternoon with our jet blaster and drain camera
  • Gave the family a fixed price before starting
  • Cleared the sewer line with high-pressure water jetting
  • Ran a CCTV camera through the line to confirm it was clear
  • Cleaned up around the overflow point

Why the gully overflowed

When a sewer line blocks, wastewater looks for the lowest exit. The overflow relief gully outside is designed to spill first, so sewage doesn’t back up inside the house.

The result

The toilet was flushing normally again by about 6:30pm on the same day.

Avoiding another blocked toilet in Heritage Park

Wipes, too much paper or items that don’t belong in the toilet cause most blockages. So, only flush the three Ps: pee, poo and paper. In addition, an overflowing gully outside is a sign of a blockage in the sewer line itself, which needs a plumber.

If your toilet is slow to drain, gurgles or the water rises when you flush, act early. For example, stop using that toilet, avoid flushing again and check the gully outside. If the gully is overflowing, call a licensed plumber straight away, because the blockage is most likely in the sewer line rather than the toilet itself.
