This case study covers sewer relining in Laidley, under a bathroom with a damaged pipe.

Location: Laidley, Lockyer Valley
Service: Sewer repair and pipe relining
Date: September 2026
Turnaround: Inspected on the first visit, repaired over several days
The problem
The downstairs drain was blocked and the sinks in the upstairs bathroom were making popping and gurgling noises, a sign of a problem in the main sewer line.
What we found
A CCTV camera inspection showed a damaged section of sewer pipe running under the bathroom floor. Clearing it alone wouldn’t fix it, so we gave the homeowners fixed-price options for a permanent repair.
What we did
- Carefully removed bathroom tiles and cut the concrete to reach the sewer
- Excavated down to the pipe and replaced the damaged section in PVC
- Relocated the overflow relief gully to the outside wall, as required
- Relined part of the sewer with a 100mm liner, which creates a new pipe inside the old one without further digging
- Tested everything, then re-laid the floor using the homeowners’ spare tiles
The result
The drains are flowing properly, and we repaired and relined the damaged section of sewer.
Why we chose sewer relining in Laidley
Relining puts a new pipe inside the old one, so there’s far less digging through floors, gardens or driveways. As a result, the home stayed usable while we worked. However, relining isn’t right for every pipe, so we always check the line with a CCTV camera first.
